About
Hans Herzog is regarded as one of New Zealand’s finest world class wine and dine experiences, and is also one of NZ’s most respected producers. This premium, multi-award winning organic vineyard and winery is run by couple Therese and Hans Herzog. Hans is the vigneron, and has full control over the winemaking and viticulture of all 28 different grape varieties within his 11.5 hectare vineyard. He releases only the highest quality of wines, that are 100% handcrafted from his own vines. It is not surprising that Herzog has earned itself an international reputation for exceptional quality wines, and firmly positioned itself as some of NZ’s finest wines.
“Hans is fanatical about quality. With each wine he strives for perfection to fully express the varietal characteristics.”
They have a very impressive, fully equipped on site winery, allowing Hans to be in control of the entire process. To ensure the highest quality, Hans also has his own bottling and labeling equipment, meaning that his wines never leave his sight. Herzog’s wines are usually aged before release as their focus is to create age-worthy wines, built to last.
When visiting Herzog, choose from a Tasting, Tour and Tasting, Private Wine Tour, or their Tailor Made Connoisseur Estate Tour, and prepare for an experience like no other.
